Partner Sara Janes practices in Texas state court, the Fifth Circuit, and beyond. In addition to her appellate work, a significant part of her practice is working together with her trial-lawyer colleagues on pre-trial, trial, and post-trial matters, including dispositive motions, other significant motions, complex research, and jury charges. She loves writing and relishes the opportunity to present clear and cohesive arguments to courts explaining why her clients should prevail.
She has trial, arbitration and appellate experience in a variety of substantive and procedural subject areas, including labor and employment, Title IX, complex contract disputes, trade secrets, complex family law matters like international child abduction under the Hague Convention, and class and collective actions. The breadth of her practice is both interesting and useful, as she approaches each new case with fresh eyes and a fresh mind.
Sara earned her law degree, with honors, from the University of Texas, and was an editor of the Texas Law Review. After spending the first several years of her legal career in the appellate section of a large international law firm, Sara joined Weisbart Springer Hayes at its inception in 2012.
Outside the Office
Sara is originally from New Mexico and gets back to the mountains as often as she can. She loves being outside, eating new foods, reading, and spending time with her twin daughters.
