Although a native Bostonian who grew up within walking distance of the Harvard University campus, Tien chose to attend The University of Texas School of Law, and in just a few years has come to appreciate the vibrant legal community and dynamic culture of the Lone Star State. After three successful years practicing in Houston, he returned to Austin, drawn by the collaborative environment at Weisbart Springer Hayes and the opportunity to engage in a diverse mix of challenging legal work.
To support that work he appreciates the chance to take a deep dive into the facts of any legal dispute and understand how those facts mesh with the law. He equates this approach to assembling a complex puzzle where the law and the facts come together to form a clear picture.
Tien looks forward to supporting the firm’s clients in commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts and learning more about his adopted city and state.
Outside the Office
Tien’s strategic mindset extends beyond the courtroom, fueling his love for competitive board games and soccer. An avid reader, he enjoys exploring a wide range of literature on his own or in his book club. Tien treasures time spent with his wife and their two Australian Shepherds, Scout and Lilo, as they continue to discover all that Austin and the Lone Star State have to offer.
